The Sentinels

A bit of work I did in an hour or two. All photoshop, monochromatic. If there are any questionable objects, the frontal guy is holding a bow, an also has arrows strapped to his back. The guy in the back has a naginata (a spear with a sword blade) and a sheathed sword. Inside the shrine is, supposed to be, a kitsune statue. That is the moon shining overhead.

So I tried some new things here. firstly I tried this new shading technique, where I color in a bit, then erase it with light pressure, than fill it in, erase, rinse, repeat, until it is how I like it. Also, this is the first time I ever did aspeed painting style, with a guy in the background, while the background itself was made in the exact same way as the rest of the picture. The last, and probably most important detail to me, is that this is all on ONE layer, so it was alot like a traditional picture, what with the tablet and all.
